The Tom Bean Cross Country team had an incredible season, with athletes continuing to improve and set personal records throughout the year. Our runners put in the work at practices and meets, and it was exciting to see their progress as the season went on.

Both the high school and middle school teams had athletes achieve personal records this season. On the high school boys team, Vernon Hulme, Max Donihoo, Jack Williams, Curtis Thomas, and Troy Lunsford all recorded PRs. Karly Sprouse also set a personal record for the high school girls team. The middle school teams saw several PRs as well, particularly at the Trenton Invitational, where Meatloaf Sprouse, Jeremiah Moore, Austin Grooms, Upton McRoberts, Brayden Langer, Aspen Hendricks, Raewyn Ramos, Mallory Walker, and Taylynne Benedict all ran their best times of the season. Josiah Caudill and River Stout also recorded PRs at the Blue Ridge Invitational.

Raewyn Ramos and Kami Poole also medaled throughout the season, earning recognition for their performances at meets!.

To finish the regular season, Kami Poole earned first place at the district meet and became the district champion for the second consecutive year! Kami finished with a personal-record time of 12:49.05, capping off an outstanding regular season. She will be the lone Tom Bean runner advancing to the Regional meet, where she will represent the Tom Bean.

We are proud of the progress our athletes made this season and the effort they put into representing Tom Bean. Congratulations to all of our runners on a successful season, and best of luck to Kami at Regionals!
