The Lady Cats fell to Honey Grove 13-3 on Friday, with a single tough inning making the difference. Despite the final score, the Lady Cats showed fight early on and had several strong individual performances. Tom Bean jumped ahead in the first inning after Bailey Daniel ripped a two-run double to put the Lady Cats up 2-1. The offense stayed active in the third, capitalizing on a Honey Grove error to tie the game at 3-3. On the mound, Bailey Daniel and Olivia Noga combined to allow just five earned runs over five innings, doing their part to keep Tom Bean in the game. Daniel struck out four over her 3.1 innings of work, while Noga came in to finish out the game. Offensively, Noga and Ryan Jones both tallied two hits each, helping pace the Lady Cats’ lineup. Daniel, who led the team with two RBIs, reached base in all of her plate appearances.
The Lady Cats will host Ector on Tuesday, April 15th for Senior Night.
