The Tomcats won Game 1 of the 3-game series 9-1 against the Cooper Bulldogs. Keaton Reed was locked in at the plate and on the mound. He got 3 hits including 2 doubles. On the mound, he went 6 innings giving up only 3 hits and 1 run. Braylin Barrett helped out at the plate getting a triple and an RBI. Dyson Farris and Donnie Hooten both had a double. Cash Linder had 2 RBI's and Brody Pearson had an RBI as well. Ryan DeArmond walked all 4 times at the plate and pitched a shutout inning to close the game.
The Tomcats won Round 1 and are Bi-District Champs after completing the sweep of the Cooper Bulldogs, winning 4-0. Cash Linder was dominant on the mound, pitching a complete game shutout. In his 7 innings, he gave up only 2 hits while striking out 8. At the plate, Donnie Hooten had 2 bunt hits and walked twice. Dyson Farris and Cash Linder also had a hit a piece in the game.
The Tomcats will face the Nocona Indians in the Area matchup next week.
