The Tomcats swept the doubleheader on Thursday night (May 22) against Alvord to become Regional Champions and are going to the State Semifinals for the first time in school history!
Game 1 (11-1 WIN):
The Tomcats won Game 1 of the doubleheader 11-1 in 5 innings against Alvord. Cash Linder led the offense racking up 3 hits including a triple with an RBI and scored 3 times. Keaton Reed also had 3 hits including a double and 2 RBI's. Braylin Barrett came through in the 1st inning with a bases clearing triple to get the game started. Hagen Darney had a triple and a double on the day. Donnie Hooten had 2 perfect bunt hits with 2 RBI's. Ryan DeArmond had a 2 RBI single and Brody Pearson also got a hit. Keaton Reed continued his dominance on the mound going all 5 innings giving up only 2 hits and not allowing an earned run.
Game 2 (11-0 WIN):
The Tomcats won Game 2 in another 5 inning game 11-0. Cash Linder was money all game on the mound and at the plate getting 2 hits including a double with 3 RBI's. Cash also threw all 5 shutout innings and striking out 6 while only walking 1. Donnie Hooten, Keaton Reed, and Dyson Farris all had 2 hits and multiple RBI's for the game. Hagen Darney and Braylin Barrett both had a triple. Ryan DeArmond, Brody Pearson, and Chase Stratton all got a hit to help out as well.
The Tomcats will play next week in the State Semifinals against the winner of New Home and New Deal.
