The Tom Bean Lady Cats faced off against Tioga last night in a pair of hard-fought matches.

In the JV game, the Lady Cats dropped the first set 11–25 but bounced back with great energy to take the second set 26–24. Lauren Ragsdale and Macie Bearden were strong on the front row, coming up with key blocks and deflections that slowed Tioga’s attack. Delaney Harris and Cady Farrell gave the team a lift from the service line, keeping Tom Bean in the fight. The deciding set went to Tioga 15–7, but the Lady Cats showed determination throughout. Aly Low stood out for her versatility, making plays on both offense and defense to keep her team in it.

The varsity squad also played with grit, battling through three competitive sets before falling 21–25, 18–25, 18–25. Jaycee Allen led the offense with 10 kills, while Emily Ragsdale and Addison Porter worked hard at the net with deflections and smart plays off the block. Blake Edwards had a solid night in the middle, coming up with deflections, blocks, and assists that helped create opportunities for the offense. On the back row, Camryn Ives led the defense with several digs and steady passing to keep rallies alive.
