The Tom Bean Lady Cats were back in action Friday night against Sam Rayburn.

In the JV match, the girls battled hard and came away with a win in three sets. After dropping the first set 19-25, they regrouped and fought back to take the second 25-20 and sealed the match with a 15-11 victory in the third. Dianne Flores stood out with strong play in the back row, while Jayda Dawson made an impact all around the court. Lauren Ragsdale also gave the team momentum with her serving.

The varsity Lady Cats went four sets against Sam Rayburn but ultimately came up short. The scores were 19-25, 25-20, 15-25, and 17-25. Defensively, Camryn Ives led the back row with 15 digs, while Jaycee Allen added 10 digs along with 7 kills. Blake Edwards dished out 13 assists and added 4 kills of her own, and Emily Ragsdale made her presence felt at the net with several deflections and 6 kills.
