The Tom Bean Lady Cats picked up a strong 9–0 win over Sam Rayburn on Friday night.
Blake Edwards was dominant in the circle, throwing a complete game shutout and keeping Sam Rayburn from getting anything going offensively. Edwards also helped out at the plate, going 3-for-4 and driving in two runs.
The Lady Cats came out hot in the first inning, putting up five runs right away. Olivia Noga got things started with a sacrifice bunt that brought in a run. The offense kept rolling as Cady Farrell added an RBI single, and the Lady Cats continued to take advantage of opportunities to push more runs across the plate.
Tom Bean added another run in the second inning when Blake Edwards singled to center field to bring in another run.
At the plate, Edwards and Noga each finished with two RBIs. Farrell and Addison O’Bier both had great nights hitting, collecting multiple hits to help lead the offense.
