September 22nd vs. Collinsville

The Lady Cats took on Collinsville on September 22nd, with both JV and Varsity continuing to compete hard and work to improve each time they step on the court.

The JV Lady Cats battled through three sets against Collinsville, falling 1-2 with scores of 6-25, 26-24, and 17-25. After a tough first set, the team responded with a strong second-set comeback, fighting their way to a 26-24 victory and forcing a third set.

Varsity also battled Collinsville in three sets, falling 0-3 with scores of 20-25, 12-25, and 19-25. The Lady Cats continued to compete and work through each set against a tough Collinsville team.

Offensively, Riley led the team with 4 kills, followed by Aly L with 3, while Ali V, Paislee, and Preslie each added 2 and Camryn recorded 1. From the service line, Preslie recorded 3 aces, while Riley added 2. Defensively, Preslie led the team with 12 digs, followed by Camryn with 10, Brooke with 9, Riley with 7, Hazel with 4, Paislee with 3, and Ali V with 2.

Every match is another opportunity to learn, grow, and get better. The Lady Cats are continuing to put in the work at practice, and that effort will continue to help them improve and build confidence throughout the season.

September 25th vs. Lindsay

The Lady Cats took on Lindsay on September 25th, with both JV and Varsity continuing to gain valuable experience and compete hard on the court.

The JV Lady Cats battled through two sets but fell to Lindsay 0-2, with set scores of 7-25 and 6-25. Despite the tough score, the team continues to work hard in practice and build on each game as they prepare for the rest of the season.

Varsity also battled Lindsay in three sets, falling 0-3 with scores of 7-25, 11-25, and 15-25. The Lady Cats continued to fight throughout the match and showed improvement as they worked to find opportunities against a tough Lindsay team.

Riley led the team offensively with 6 kills, followed by Preslie with 4 and Aly L with 2. Riley also led the team defensively with 8 digs, while Camryn added 6, Chelsea had 4, Preslie and Hazel each had 3, and Brooke recorded 2. At the net, Riley led the team with 3 blocks.

Every game is an opportunity to learn, grow, and get better, and the Lady Cats are continuing to put in the work at practice. We are proud of their effort and determination and look forward to seeing that hard work continue to translate onto the court!

September 29th vs. Sam Rayburn

The Lady Cats had a great night on the court against Sam Rayburn! Both teams battled hard and continued to show the improvement we’ve been seeing in practice.

The JV Lady Cats came out strong and earned a 2-0 victory over Sam Rayburn, winning 25-12 and 25-23. The team stayed focused and continued to execute throughout both sets to secure the straight-set win.

Varsity put together an incredible comeback to earn a 3-2 victory after dropping the first two sets. The Lady Cats fell 21-25 in the first set and 21-25 in the second, but they never gave up. They battled back to win the third set 25-21, followed by a 25-20 win in the fourth set. In the deciding fifth set, the Lady Cats finished strong with a 15-9 victory to complete the reverse sweep!

Riley led the team offensively with 22 kills, followed by Paislee, Preslie, and Aly Low with 4 kills each and Camryn with 3. Riley also led the team with 13 digs, while Hazel added 11, Chelsea had 4, Camryn had 3, and Preslie had 2. From the service line, Preslie recorded 7 aces, Chelsea had 4, Riley had 2, and Camryn and Brooke each added 1. At the net, Riley led with 4 blocks, Aly L had 2, and Paislee added 1.

The Lady Cats showed tremendous fight, composure, and teamwork throughout the match. The hard work they are putting in at practice is continuing to show up on game night, and this team keeps getting better every time they step on the court. We are proud of the way they continued to battle, make adjustments, and believe in each other when it mattered most!
