The Tom Bean Lady Cats Varsity Volleyball team opened pool play in the Detroit Tournament by sweeping Clarksville (25-8, 25-2). Ryan Jones had 8 assists, 3 aces, and 1 kill. Taylor Vick had 11 digs and 1 kill. Brooklyn Varney had 2 kills and 4 digs. Samantha Lind and Reese Apple had 3 kills each. Emma Nelson and Scarlett Trevino had 13 and 17 kills respectively.

In game two of pool play, the Lady Cats lost a tight game in 3 sets to Trinity Christian Academy (12-25, 25-15, 9-15). Ryan Jones had 14 assists, 3 kills, and 3 aces. Taylor Vick had 2 aces, 3 kills, and 19 digs. Sam Lind had 7 kills and 3 blocks. Scarlett Trevino had 27 digs.

The Lady Cats would finish pool play this evening losing to Dodd City (12-25, 19-25). Ryan Jones had 2 aces and 4 assists. Cori Peterson had 6 digs. Scarlett Trevino and Taylor Vick had 22 and 12 digs respectively.

Tom Bean finished pool play 1-2, and will begin bracket play of the Detroit Tournament on Saturday morning. Tomorrow night, the 11th, they will host Leonard. The varsity will play at 4:30pm and the JV will follow.
