Last night, our Middle School Lady Cats traveled to Collinsville. It was a sweep on the night so they got to enjoy some orange drinks this morning at practice!

The C Team won the second game in a row to the Collinsville Lady Pirates. The first set for the Lady cats was a duel to the end and ended up winning the set 25-20. Kaylee Powell and Tatum Robinson were a duo with their serves. Together they combined 7 consecutive serves for the first set. The second set was also another close game for our Lady Cats. They took it home with a final score of 25-20. Lauren Ragsdale, Ell Mitchell, and Brenna Bradshaw contributed heavily on the defensive side for the Lady Cats.

The B team won against the Lady Pirates in two sets as well. The first set extended past 25 points, ending with a 25-27 final score of that set. Addison Obier was on fire with her serves during this set, helping keep the Lady Cats alive. The second set the Lady Cats pulled through with a 25-19 win, forcing the game to go into three sets. The third set was when the Lady Cats separated themselves from the Pirates when Bailey Daniel helped bring the team home by serving 8 consecutive times to bring the final score to 15-5.

In the A Team game, the Lady Cats would repeat the trend and also win in two sets against the Collinsville Pirates. Brooke Johnson and Jaycee Allen executed their serve by having a combined 11 total serves between the two of them. While both Cady Farrell and Camryn Ives had a phenomenal serving game as well, bringing the Lady Cats 9 points. With the team's powerhouse serving, it ended the game at 25-16. During the second set, Blake Edwards wanted to join the serving party by giving her team six serves in a row. Though the Lady Cats had dominating serves, the defense was the highlight of the second set. Preslie Parrish, Hazel Darney, Cady Farrell, and Addison Porter showed off their defensive skills digging and in serve receive. Jaycee Allen had some kills that was assisted by Blake Edwards. The final score of the second set was 25-15.

The Lady Cats next game will be at home on September 11 against Tioga. The first game will start at 5:00pm.
