It was an exhilarating morning for our cross country teams as they competed in Trenton's this morning. The dedication and hard work put in by our high school athletes throughout this week paid off, as they all showed significant improvements in their times compared to the previous week.

In the high school girls' division, Reese Perkins led the charge, securing an impressive 8th place finish. Estrella Rubio and Baylie Schmeidler also put on a stellar performance, earning 14th and 15th place.

The high school boys also had an outstanding showing at the meet. Zeke Spencer powered through the race to secure 8th place, while Landon Miller displayed incredible determination to secure 14th place.

Adding to the excitement, this meet marked the debut for our middle school runners. In the middle school boys' division, Heath Ostrander put forth a remarkable effort, finishing 10th overall. Vernon Hulme also showcased his potential, securing an impressive 14th place finish. Their performance at their first-ever meet bodes well for the future of our middle school cross country team, and we're excited to see them develop and grow as athletes.

The entire cross country team, both high school and middle school, should be proud of their showing today. It's clear that that their commitment to training and their passion for a sport that many would see as punishment are paying dividends!

The next meet for our teams will be on Thursday, September 14, in Miller Grove.
