While this performance was undoubtedly a team success, especially on the defensive end, Branson Ashlock emerged as a dominant force on the court, leading all scorers with a remarkable 17 points while securing an impressive double-double by pulling down 10 rebounds. CJ Richter contributed significantly with 16 points, showcasing his ability to put the ball in the hole. Two of the Tomcats youngsters stepped up in pivotal moments of the game as well. Dyson Farris hit two crucial three-pointers down the stretch, and Maguire Poole hit 2 free-throws with under a minute to go in the game to extend the Tomcats lead.
While the Tomcats are preparing to finish strong in their final four district games, their primary focus is on the next crucial matchup scheduled for Friday, February 2nd, against Trenton.
