The Lady Cats easily dispatched Bland 12-6 on Tuesday, February 20th, at Tom Bean. Bland would strike first as #91 hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the first. It didn't take long for the Lady Cats to respond. They jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Rayleigh Shipman singled, and Bland committed two errors, each scoring one run.

In the third, the Lady Cats committed an error, which helped Bland tie the game 3-3 in the top of the third. Just like before, the Lady Cats would respond and were able to take the lead back after Emma Nelson homered to right field, Brooklyn Varney singled, and Madisyn Capps stole home, each scoring one run.

In the sixth inning, Capps hit a solo inside the park home run in the bottom of the sixth for the Lady Cats that would get them rolling again and allowed them to never look back.

Emma Nelson earned the win in the circle for the Lady Cats. The righty gave up six hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out 15 and walking three. In total, the Lady Cats tallied 10 hits in the game which was lead by, Nelson, Capps, and Varney each collecting two hits of their own. Emma Nelson, Brooklyn Varney, and Maddie Oates also drove in two runs for Lady Cats. On the bases, the Lady Cats ran wild. This charge was lead by Madisyn Capps and Brooklyn Varney who both stole multiple bases.

The Lady Cats will travel to Lone Oak and Wolfe City for a tournament this Thursday-Saturday, February 29th-March 2nd.
