The final set was a tight battle, ending in an 11-15 defeat, which resulted in a 1-2 loss overall. The narrow margins of the match underscored the competitive nature of the tournament.

On Friday, the Lady Cats fought hard but fell short with final scores of 13-25, 16-25, 25-23, 25-17, and 7-15. Despite the loss, there were standout performances. Against Dodd City JV, the JV Lady Cats triumphed in three sets with scores of 24-26, 25-16, and 15-7. Despite a close first set loss, they regrouped to deliver a dominant performance in the following sets. Middle hitter Reese Apple was a standout with multiple kills, and defensive specialist Dianne Flores played a crucial role in setting up the team’s offensive plays.

The Lady Cats returned to tournament play on Saturday, facing three more teams and finishing their weekend on a strong note.
