Last week, Tomcat Football squared off with the Trenton Tigers. The Tomcats would come away victorious on all three levels.
In dominant performance, the varsity triumphed over the Tigers with a convincing 34-0 victory. Bobby Rogers was the standout player, showcasing his versatility by scoring three touchdown runs and connecting for passing touchdowns with both Hagen Darney and Garrett Kelly. The Tomcats’ offense was relentless, capitalizing on every opportunity and maintaining control throughout the game. Rogers’ ability to both run and pass kept the Tigers' defense on their heels, making it difficult for them to predict the Tomcats' next move. On the defensive side, Hagen Darney led the charge with a crucial interception, demonstrating his skills as a two-way player. Alongside him, Drake Franzeo and Bobby Rogers also made significant contributions, disrupting Trenton's offensive flow and ensuring the Tigers struggled to gain any momentum.
The Tomcat JV football team followed the middle school group on Thursday night with a big win. The 14-0 win would mark the end the season for the JV. Slayton Farris and Hayden Hilger both found the endzone. The defense got a shutout with Ryon Cherry, Ethan Halpain, and Nate Lowry leading the way.
The middle school team started the week’s action against the Tigers. The Tomcats would go on to win 20-6. Our defense was led by Alejandro Ruiz, who led the teams in tackles, tackles for loss, and had a fumble recovery. Cameron Burgess also added a takeaway of his own with an interception. Offensively we were led by Cameron Burgess who added 3 rushing touchdowns. Holden Farris also contributed with multiple receptions that he was able to convert into key first downs.
