It was an outstanding day for the Tom Bean Tomcats and Lady Cats as they competed against strong 3A and 4A competition. The teams represented their school with pride and produced several top finishes and personal records across two meets.

As a team, the JV Boys captured 1st place, while the Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, and JV Girls each earned 2nd place finishes, highlighting a strong overall showing for Tom Bean.

Earlier in the day, three Tom Bean athletes competed at The Colony High School and turned in impressive performances. Dallas Peavey placed 2nd in the Triple Jump with a leap of 43’ 3.5”, setting a new school record in the event. Treyshaun West recorded a personal-best throw of 47’ 0.5” in the Shot Put, earning 2nd place. Paxton Parrish also finished 2nd, clearing 11’6” in the Pole Vault.

At the S&S Track Meet, several Tom Bean athletes achieved personal records. McKenzie Bearden ran a personal best in the 3200-meter run, while Kami Poole and Maguire Poole each set personal records in the 800 meters. Emily Ragsdale recorded a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles, and Tatum Hanson set new personal records in both the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles.

The strong performances across the board reflect the dedication and hard work of the Tom Bean track program. Coaches expressed pride in the athletes’ efforts and the way they represented their school throughout the day of competition.
