Despite an impressive performance from standout player Bobby Rogers, who racked up over 100 yards rushing and scored multiple touchdowns while also making an astounding 20 tackles on defense, the Tomcats suffered a heartbreaking loss in the dying moments of the game. The offensive and defensive lines for the Tomcats put on a remarkable display. On the perimeter, key players like Maguire Poole, Hagen Darney, and Dyson Farris shone brightly, contributing essential plays in both the run and passing games. In a bright spot for Tom Bean, the JV Football team secured a convincing 18-0 victory against Wolfe City on Thursday night. The defense was nothing short of phenomenal, shutting out the Wolves and showcasing an impressive performance. Led by Collin Stanley and Alex Watson, who each recorded multiple sacks, along with Noah Grey, who delivered numerous strong tackles, the defense set the tone for the game. Izak Tumey also made his mark with a crucial pass breakup. Offensively, quarterback Hayden Hillger connected with Jake Burgess for two touchdown passes.
Meanwhile, the middle school football team faced a tough outing against the Wolves on Thursday night, falling 33-0. Despite the loss, the team showed promise, with Holden Farris and Cameron Burgess leading offensively. Defensively, standout performances came from Cameron Burgess, Levi Grisolia, and Zach Oates, who worked tirelessly to contain the Wolves' offensive efforts.
